30-Hour Florida Essentials of Real Estate Investment Broker Post-Licensing Course

Active and inactive brokers are required to successfully complete the 60-hour post-licensing education requirement before the first renewal of their broker license. If the broker fails to complete the 60-hour post-licensing requirement, the broker's license becomes null and void or, the broker may request that a sales associate's license be issued, provided he or she completed the 14 hours of continuing education within six months following the expiration of the broker's license and has complied with all requirements for renewal. The 30-hour Credit for each course required is sent directly to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

FAQs
Q. How long is the course good for?
- The online course is active with ReCampus up to one year from the date of purchase or till you pass the final end-of-course exam. If you need an extension for your course please call The Palm Beach School of Real Estate for more information. We recommend that you take the course at least 60 days prior to your renewal in case you need more time to take an alternate exam.
Q. Are there any recommended materials for the course?
- The online course will not have a textbook for you to follow – everything is on line, however if you wish to purchase support materials check out our bookstore. The texts used (Dearborn Publishers): Essentials of Real Estate Investment and Real Estate Brokerage-A Management Guide.
Q. May I download the course and work without being connected to the internet?
- No – you cannot download the material from the internet.
Q. What is the difference between the classroom material and the online course?
- The course materials are organized differently. Also the method of delivery is different, however the material is consist by the Florida Real Estate Commission standards and requirements.
Q. Is there a final exam for the course?
- Yes – State of Florida requires you to pass a final exam at the end of the course. The exam only consists of multiple choice questions. Once you have started the final exam you must complete it in one sitting! You cannot close out of it and return to it, or use the back button to go back. If you are having problems or lose your connection please call Tech Support Hotline for help 1.888.213.5124.
Q. What happens if I do not pass the first time?
- If you do not pass the first time, you will be given a link to a second final exam, which may not be taken until thirty (30) days have passed. For review purposes, your course will remain active and you may revisit it as many times as you wish during the thirty days. After the thirty days has passed, you may then click on the link to access the second final exam. Once this has been done, the original course is deactivated and cannot be accessed. BE SURE you are ready to take the exam before clicking on the second Final Exam link, because it is the only alternate exam! You have up to one (1) year to retake the new exam. You must complete the exams prior to your renewal date!
Q. Do I have to pay again?
- Only if you fail the second final exam. This is true with both online and classroom education.
Q. How do I check my progress in the course?
- When you log into the course, click profile then online course history. Click on the course and it will take you to your lesson result page.
Q. May I receive a refund if the online course is not right for me?
- The Palm Beach School of Real Estate refund policy: No refund for students that went beyond the course tutorials and the first lesson. The refund then is valid for thirty (30) days after the original purchase date. Please call The Palm Beach School of Real Estate at 561.776.9755. Depending of type of payment, if you qualify and request a refund, your refund will be issued thirty (30) days from the date of the request.
Q. If I don’t like the online course may I still take the classroom course?

Q. How long after taking the class exam will I be notified?
- Immediately – you will know if you have passed the course. Once you receive your notice, The Palm Beach School of Real Estate will email, mail, or fax you a completion slip for you to keep. You will need to keep your completion slip in case of an audit by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Q. Do you have a money back guarantee if I should fail the course?
- No - According to the Florida Statutes 475.451 & 475.4511 and the rules in Chapter 61-J2.013 we are not allowed to guarantee any student a refund.
Q. What happens if I become disconnected while taking the final exam on line?
- When taking any online course, The Palm Beach School of Real Estate recommends that you do not use a wireless connection when taking the “Final Exam”. If you do lose your connection, as soon as possible call Tech Support at 1.888.213.5124 for assistance. Tech Support hours are: Monday-Friday, 10:00 am -11pm EST, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm EST.
