FAQs

Q. How long is the course good for?

  • The online course is active with ReCampus up to one year from the date of purchase or till you pass the final end-of-course exam.  If you need an extension for your course please call The Palm Beach School of Real Estate for more information. We recommend that you take the course at least 60 days prior to your renewal in case you need more time to take an alternate exam.

Q. Are there any recommended materials for the course?

  • The online course will not have a textbook for you to follow – everything is on line, however if you wish to purchase support materials check out our bookstore. The texts used (Dearborn Publishers): Essentials of Real Estate Investment and Real Estate Brokerage-A Management Guide.

Q. May I download the course and work without being connected to the internet?

  • No – you cannot download the material from the internet.

Q. What is the difference between the classroom material and the online course?

  • The course materials are organized differently. Also the method of delivery is different, however the material is consist by the Florida Real Estate Commission standards and requirements.

Q. Is there a final exam for the course?

  • Yes – State of Florida requires you to pass a final exam at the end of the course.  The exam only consists of multiple choice questions. Once you have started the final exam you must complete it in one sitting!  You cannot close out of it and return to it, or use the back button to go back.  If you are having problems or lose your connection please call Tech Support Hotline for help 1.888.213.5124.

Q. What happens if I do not pass the first time?

  • If you do not pass the first time, you will be given a link to a second final exam, which may not be taken until thirty (30) days have passed.  For review purposes, your course will remain active and you may revisit it as many times as you wish during the thirty days.  After the thirty days has passed, you may then click on the link to access the second final exam.  Once this has been done, the original course is deactivated and cannot be accessed.  BE SURE you are ready to take the exam before clicking on the second Final Exam link, because it is the only alternate exam!  You have up to one (1) year to retake the new exam. You must complete the exams prior to your renewal date!

Q. Do I have to pay again?

  • Only if you fail the second final exam.  This is true with both online and classroom education.

Q. How do I check my progress in the course?
